The perfect extra layer when you don’t want the bulk of a full sweater, the Clova Slipover will quickly become a favourite in your wardrobe.
Worked from the top-down, Clova features clever shaping details and seamless construction which means only minimal finishing is required. The size inclusive pattern includes 14 sizes from xxs to 7xl with four cup size options featuring subtle built-in shaping, ensuring the perfect fit for every body type. Keep things simple with an aran weight yarn, or hold a fluffy laceweight together with a sportweight yarn for a really light, warm layer.
The Clova Slipover features a comfortable, tailored shoulder line sometimes known as English Tailoring or a European Shoulder. The upper back is worked first, with increases to slope the shoulders and short rows to add a comfortable curve at the neckline. The upper front is then worked on stitches picked up along the back shoulders with a slightly scooped crew neck. The armholes are thoughtfully shaped for a neat fit and comfortable layering. Larger cup size options add extra width across the bust and (almost) hidden short rows with no visible wedge of darts. The upper back and front are joined at the underarm and the body is worked in the round and completed with a simple ribbed border. Matching ribbed bands are then worked around the neckline and armholes.
Yarn
Worsted or light aran weight yarn. Wool or wool blends are ideal.
