What could be more beautiful than a fleeting northern summer!

CONSTRUCTION:
Socks Clover fields forever are two color toe-up socks with a German short-rows heel, a gusset on the sole and amazing clover chart on the cuff.

Difficulty: intermediate.

Size: women S/M (M/L).
Foot circumference, cm/inch: 19,5-20 / 8-8 ¼ (20,5-21 / 8 ¼ -8 ½ )
Heel diagonal, cm/inch: 29-30 / 11 ½-11 ¾ (30-31 / 11 ¾–12 ¼)
Foot length (cm) – adjustable.
Heel to guff length (cm) – adjustable.

Yarn: Filcolana Arwetta Classic (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon, 230 yds / 210 m – 50 g), 1 skein colourway 236 and 1 skein colourway 809, or other sock superwash merino yarn.

Needles: US 1.5 / 2.5 mm and US 1 / 2.25 mm, at least 32” / 80 cm long circular needles or size to obtain gauge for magic loop method or DPNs if preferred.

Notions: stitch markers, tape measure, sock blockers (optional)

Gauge: 32 sts x 44 rnds to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, knitted in the rnd, after blocking. The correct length of the sock foot depends on achieving the stated round gauge.

Techniques used: Judy’s Magic Cast-on, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off , German short rows, short-rows heel, lifted increases, decreases. Requires reading of charts.
