This design is inspired by the Pierrot clown, typically a lovelorn character who occasionally performs in a conical white hat with black pom poms.
This hat is no sew, uses relatively basic stitches and has 2 variations depending on taste and skill level. It is a great way to use up DK yarn and uses 4mm crochet hook. There is a modification option if you would like to stuff your hat to maintain it’s shape. It includes loops to keep the hat secured to your clown’s head, so please supervise them (perhaps whilst juggling) whilst they wear it.
The hat is designed for an adult cat and measures 8.5cm tall and 7cm wide.
