GAUGE
14 stitches and 11 rows of half double crochet using a 5.5 mm hook = 4”x 4” swatch

MATERIALS
YARN:You will need weight 4 yarn in the following colors:
White color 1, Red color 2, Black color 3, Blue color 4, Yellow color 5

HOOKS:
5.5 mm
4.0 mm

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
Tapestry Needle
Scissors

PATTERN NOTES
This pattern uses US crochet terms
CH 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch
The pattern is worked from the bottom-up
The pattern should be worked utilizing your preferred method of changing colors. I recommend a mix of intarsia and fair isle crochet.
The sleeves are worked in panels, then sewn together, and the cuff is constructed in the round.
The sizing is written as XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) unless otherwise stated
There are 6 variations of the color chart - 3 for the happy clown and 3 for the sad clown:
Happy/Sad Chart 1 should be used for sizes XS, S, and M
Happy/Sad Chart 2 should be used for sizes L, XL, and 2X
Happy/Sad Chart 3 should be used for sizes 3X, 4X, and 5X
