Materials
165 g Spinni by Isager Yarn (50 g = 300 m) divided as follows:
3 x 15 g (colors used: 4, 14, 34)
10 x 10 g (colors used: 1s, 3, 8s, 12s, 15s, 33s, 36s, 37s, 47, 60s)
4 x 5 g (colors used: 13s, 25s, 39s, 42)
(Spinni is worked with a total of 2 strands)
OR
180 g Lace weight yarn (100 g = 1400 m) divided as follows:
4 x 15 g
11 x 10 g
2 x 5 g
(Lace weight yarn is worked with a total of 6 strands)
Fabric for linning: 34 x 46 cm
Clutch Frame: 17 x 19 cm
Viledon Interfacing for reinforcing the bottom: 20 x 12 cm
Circular needles 2.5 mm (60 cm)
Gauge in garter stitch using needle 2.5 mm:
25 sts x 54 rows = 10 x 10 cm (measured after steam and blocking)
The clutch is worked in garter stitch back and forth in one piece. The clutch is sewn together and at the end the linning is sewn to the inside of the clutch. The top is mounted on the clutch frame. The triangles that form the pattern is worked in different colors. Each triangle is worked in two colors using either 2 strands of Spinni (1 strand of one color and 2 strand of another color) or 6 strands of Lace weight yarn (3 strands of a light color and 3 strands of a darker color).
The technique used for the clutch is called Intarsia.
