Clutch Pyramid
The stitch I used to create this crochet bag is a variation of the “Canestro” stitch, the translation of which is Basket Stitch. Allow me to note, that I am under the impression that the same name also applies to a number of totally different stitches.
In any case, the pattern of my Pyramid Crochet Clutch is a multiple of 2 plus one and a 2-row repeat, that is worked in the round. The 2 stitches that comprise the design are simply a Single Crochet followed by a Waistcoat Stitch.
Please keep in mind that It is very important that your work is thick and stiff, because we will not use any reinforcement. However, there is no need to apply extra tension, as the above-mentioned combination of stitches provides the desirable stiffness that our trendy little pyramid clutch requires.
Requires:
-
usual crochet accessories - stitch marker(s), tapestry needle, scissors
-
zipper to suit gauge (probably 15 - 25 cm, depending on yarn used - excess zip length can be tucked in).
-
Bag fixings/furniture ‘to taste’ - O ring suggested.
