“So, she returns to the loving earth,
to the soft, blonde flowers.
With each new dawn her heart bursts open,
And velvet eyes gaze with fresh amazement
At the rising sun.”- CLYTIE BECOMES A SUNFLOWER (Charles de la Fosse)

This beret was designed in honour of one of my favourite fairytale heros, Clytie. She was a water nymph who so loved the sun, forever gazing, until she turned into the first sunflower. May your gaze be upwards in amazement and towards the brilliance of our sun!

This is a pattern for a lace beret knit from the top down in bulky yarn. Mecha skeins can vary a bit in weight, this hat may be knit with one skein OR one skein and extra yarn for bind off. Sample shown in Mostaza (and bound off in VAA). Size can be changed by needle/yarn size ( yardage may change). This pattern is fully written and charted.
