This pattern was created for the 2013 Hogswatch Challenge hosted by the crafters over at the Ankh-Morpork Knitter’s Guild. It was designed as a Hogswatch (not entirely unlike Christmas) gift for everyone’s favourite purveyor of fine crowd-side foods, CMOT Dibbler of Ankh-Morpork.

Although I have knitted with a higher weight yarn and 10mm needles, the pattern can really be made with any yarn and the corresponding needle size, resulting in a tighter or looser finished object. I would suggest a tighter fabric so that the lace flower panels hold their shape a bit better.

I used one colour, and a lot of yarn for it (13 skeins of 100g super bulky wool blend). This is also up for change though, as you could expand the pattern to any size, it is fairly simple to extrapolate.
