Dream of skiing and hiking adventures while you cook with this deluxe landscape potholder design. Inspired by the Coast Mountain range of British Columbia--the northern sibling to the Cascades of Washington and Oregon. The abstract scene has stripes and triangle peaks that give it a bold look, while the seed stitch border and leather tab add some softer detail. Worked in the round to produce a double thickness (and reduce the amount of seaming required), this is a great project for beginners looking to learn circular knitting. The colorwork can be completed either in intarsia technique or using duplicate stitch, and the pattern includes a primer on duplicate stitch. A seed stitch back panel is worked separately and adds functionality and texture to this Pacific Northwest-themed design. A simple, easy project that makes a great gift for your favorite mountain lover.
