Inspired by my dog Phizz’s fearless coastal explorations, this sweater combines style, practicality, and comfort. Its flexible design ensures your dog can move freely while staying warm and cozy.
Sizes Available
This pattern includes instructions for 5 sizes:
XS: For teacup and toy breeds (e.g., Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier)
S: For small breeds (e.g., Dachshund, Jack Russell Terrier)
M: For medium breeds (e.g., Cocker Spaniel, Beagle)
L: For large breeds (e.g., Border Collie, Boxer)
XL: For extra-large breeds (e.g., Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd)
The sweater is designed with stretch to ensure a snug yet comfortable fit.
Gauge
16 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch using 4.0 mm needles.
Be sure to check your gauge to ensure the best fit for your dog.
Materials Needed
Yarn: Lion Brand A Pound of Love in Antique White (1 skein is sufficient for all sizes).
Needles:
4.0 mm circular needles (for the body)
4.0 mm double-pointed needles (for XS/S sizes)

Yarn Usage by Size
This project uses Lion Brand A Pound of Love in Antique White (1 skein = 1020 yards), which provides more than enough yarn for any size:
XS/S sizes: Approximately 300–400 yards
M size: Approximately 500–600 yards
L/XL sizes: Approximately 700–800 yards
