The mornings along the coast where the fog and mist meet with the salty spray of the seas is one of my favorite smells.

Coastal Fog is an asymmetrical shawl worked in two colors using a simple slipped stitch pattern that produces a beautiful texture.

Included is an optional ending designed by one of my test knitters that continues 2 more additions of the square pattern!!!
Special thanks to my testers Purlificknitter, whovis, and Skye!!!
Yarn: Baah Yarns La Jolla (100% Superwash Merino 400 yds/115 grams)

Contrast Color (CC): Obsidian, 400 yards, 1 skein

Needles: US 4/3.5mm, US 7/4.5mm for bind off

Notions: Stitch markers (optional, but good for marking repeats), Tapestry needle, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking.

Gauge: 24 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.
