Here is an easy & quick pattern of coaster. This is one the projects which gives instant satisfaction, as its very easy to make, finishes in no time and you have something useful at the end!
The size and thickness depends on the yarn you use. I have used worsted yarn to get little thick coaster. If you are using thin yarn then you can use two strand of yarn.

Stitches: Chain stitch, double crochet and Slip stitch. So if you don’t know any of these stitches you can easily learn them from there.

The pattern is written in US crochet terminology.
