I have found that a lot of Mums prefer a one-piece item of clothing to dress their young babies. No worries about buttons undoing and slipping off squirming little ones.

So, this has become a favourite style for them.

A seamless, loose fitting, top-down construction, starting from the neck, worked back and forth. You then join after binding off sleeves, working a simple lace pattern for the skirt, in the round.

The tunic dress can be worn with the buttons at the rear or at the front.

Coastie is a common Australian slang, for those who are lucky enough to live near our long, beautiful Coastline.
