COATS FOR “TO GO” CUPS
These cup coats are easy little projects that do help keep the drink warm and are just plain fun.
YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE
This design may be knitted on any machine. No ribber is needed. It fits all sizes of Starbucks cups though it’s pic-
tured on the largest “Venti” size. 3 gauges are given so that you may knit it on any gauge of machine. The numbers are given as bulky mid-gauge standard with stitch gauges of 45.5,7 per inch and row gauges of 68, 10 per inch using
worsted DK fingering weight yarn. It’s the row gauge that makes the coat fit so be pickier about that than the stitch gauge. Width of the coat is 2.75”. Circumference is 9” at the top, 8”at the bottom. Slight adjustment is possible while finishing. The sample was made using Deborah Norville Everyday Worsted on the bulky machine at stitch size 5. Adjust your stitch size to get the gauge, emphasizing row gauge over stitch gauge. The suggested yarns will knit on most machines near the middle of the dial to match gauge.
