Cobblestone Pier Cowl
Named for the stony streets of old Ireland and the piers where fishermen set off for the day, the Cobblestone Pier Cowl is a celebration of classic cable knitting. If you love cables on cables on cables, this is the project for you.
The design brings together honeycomb, basketweave, and diamond cables, plus a unique cable-within-a-cable, all neatly accented with seed stitch and a garter stitch edge.
Knit flat using slightly oversized knitting needles, the cowl has a more open weave. This allows the fabric to drape comfortably, while the dense cables provide the structure necessary to hold up the button closure. The pattern includes complete written and charted instructions, as well as step-by-step video tutorials for working buttonholes and cable knitting.
