Needles: Size 2 (2.75mm) double-pointed needles (dpn), preferably wood, or size to obtain gauge

Extras:

  • 7 markers, 6 of one color and one of a contrasting color (Yarn loops work well here.)
  • Rust-proof T-pins

Blocked Gauge: 6 sts to 1”/2.5cm in 6-st rep from chart A using size 2 (2.75mm) needles

Notes:

  1. The doily is knit circularly from the center out.
  2. All even rounds are worked even in St st.
  3. We do not recommend knitting this doily pattern at a larger gauge for a full-sized shawl.
  4. See Techniques, p. 162, for circular beginnings.
