Free, untested pattern.
For this pattern, you will need to enjoy knitting long rows of garter stitch. To begin you will cast on 220 sitches. The middle is shaped with the use of short rows. The finished scarf symmetrical, wider in the middle, with slim “tails” at each end..

Finished size approx.100-110 cm L x 8-10 cm W at widest point. If you are familiar with working short
rows, what they look like and how to recognise them in your work, see the alternative instructions at the
bottom of the pattern.

Yarn: DK or Sport weight, appox 50g/100m-60 g/120 m
Needles: Two pairs of 60 cm or longer, or one pair of 100 cm circular needles, size 3.5-4 mm or whatever size is needed to meet gauge

Gauge (width is important!): 22 st 48 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Misc: 1 or 2 stitch markers, scissors, darning needle.
PM = place marker
SRT = Short Row/Turn (turn work, slip 1 stitch knitwise)
