This shrug is knit using size 15 circular needles, at least 29” long.
First you will be knitting the shrug as a rectangle to start, then joining the corners to form the sleeves. You will be using two strands of yarn to knit, from two different skeins of yarn. This will ensure the shrug has a chunky weight.
Each skein is of medium weight (4) yarn, (320 yds each).

You will need a cable needle for the cable pattern.
