These mittens are knitted from the cuff, starting with a twisted rib and then the two color pattern starts.

There’s three different fits and thumbs to choose between:
Tight fit: It’s constructed with a knit in thumb on top of a gusset, giving you a mitten that has a tighter fit around the wrist, and is wider around the palm of the hand.
Straight fit: It’s constructed with a knit in thumb, giving you a mitten that has the same circumference around the base of the thumb and the palm of the hand.
Wide fit: It’s construction has a thumb that’s knitted on top of a wide gusset, giving you a mitten that is wider around the base of the thumb than the palm of the hand.

The pattern contains charts for both a dark and a light main color.

Knitting with gauge according to pattern will give you a pair of mittens of the follow measuments:

Circumference: 21 cm / 8.3 in
Length: 26 cm / 10.2 in

You can easily change the size by going up or down a needle size or using a thicker or thinner yarn. Note that changing needles or thickness of yarn may change amount of yarn needed.

I recommend meeting the following stitch gauges on 10cm / 4 in for larger mittens:

22 cm / 8.7 in circumference: 31 stitches
24 cm / 9.5 in circumference: 28 stitches
26 cm / 10.2 in circumference: 26 stitches
