Another Halloween decoration - this time a coffin! This is a very simple knit. We start off knitting the base of the coffin flat, then pick up stitches along the selvedge and cast on edges, and knit in the round to build up the shape of the coffin. We then work a couple of decrease rounds to make the top of the coffin, and close the lid by grafting the live stitches together. This takes up a very small amount of DK yarn (less than 15g of DK in the main colour, plus scraps for duplicate stitching on a motif), although gauge isn’t important, so you can substitute for a different weight yarn if you like, and make a smaller or bigger coffin. If you want to hang it up, you can add some i-cord later, although I haven’t included instructions for this here.
