Five Strips are worked separately, then sewn together to make the Afghan. Each Strip is worked back and forth in rows using 6 different pattern stitches. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts on the Afghan borders. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.
Borders are worked from sts picked up along edges of the Afghan.
