This pattern is worked in a round and joins with a slip stitch. To keep a straight seem, work 1st sts of rows 6-9, 16-17 in the same st as Ch 1.

Rows with mini bean stitches with be turned to create texture.

Mini Bean Stitch (MBST): Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up a loop (2 loops). YO and insert hook into the SAME stitch. Pull up a loop. (4 loops). YO and pull through 4 loops on hook.

Extended Single Crochet stitch (ESC) Insert hook into st, YO and pull up a loop (2 loops). YO and pull through ONE loop on hook. YO and pull through BOTH loops.

For a cleaner edge, I prefer to use an invisible slip stitch on the final row to tie off cozy.
