Colette Cardigan is a relaxed, top down cardigan with an elegant European shoulder line and clean, modern look. The body is worked flat in rows from the neck down in classic stockinette stitch, which gives the garment a beautiful drape and great fit. The silhouette is oversized with approximately 22 cm / 8.75” of positive ease, perfect for layering over shirts and dresses.

The sleeves are picked up at the armhole and worked in the round down to the cuff with neat decreases. All finishing details - 1×1 rib on the button band, cuffs, hem and neckline - are trimmed with a tidy tubular finish so the cardigan looks polished and ready to wear straight off the needles.

The pattern includes detailed written instructions, helpful notes for the more intricate steps and links to video tutorials, so you will not get lost in the tricky parts.

Sizes:
XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
Designed to be worn with around 22 cm / 8.75” of positive ease.
Bust measurements of the wearer:
XS 75–80 cm, S 82–88 cm, M 90–98 cm, L 100–108 cm, XL 110–120 cm, XXL 120–130 cm.

Gauge:
18 sts × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4” × 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking, knit flat.
Work a swatch, wash and dry it flat, then measure and adjust needle size if needed to match gauge.

Yarn:
- Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt, 100% wool, 91 m / 50 g
or
- Novita 7 Brothers Nummi, 76% wool, 20% polyamide, 4% viscose, 200 m / 100 g
Yardage: 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 skeins, knit with one strand.

Needles and notions:

• Circular needles 4.5 mm for the main fabric
• Circular needles 4.0 mm for ribbing on cuffs, hem, neckline and button bands or any needle size needed to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers, row counter, measuring tape, tapestry needle
• Waste yarn or additional cable, 5 buttons.
