Scuba diving can be tricky when you’re a knitter - that woollen wetsuit seemed like such a good idea on dry land but 20,000 leagues under the sea? Hmm. But worry not because you can still get all nautical with your needles thanks to Colin the clownfish!

As you may have noticed, Colin looks a lot like the lead actor from Finding Nemo. However, it’s not a good idea to mention that fact to Colin because people say it to him ALL THE TIME and he gets a bit huffy. It’s a long story but Colin once met Nemo at a book signing and Nemo wrote “it was so wonderful to meet you, Clive!” Awkward.

Colin, who originally featured in Woman’s Weekly, is approximately 20cm/8in long. He’s knitted flat on straight needles using DK yarn and then seamed using mattress stitch, making this a great project for knitters of all abilities. Even better, he has a little friend, Diane the Blue Tang, so the knitted aquarium that you’ve always dreamed could now be a reality!

You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow! But, if you do get stuck, just message me - I aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.
