With a finished diameter of 72-inches of coziness, this blanket/shawl is as much fun to use as it is to knit.

With cables and eyelets and lace … all knit in the round … this goes together quickly on US#11s. An eight-pointed cabled star merges into eyelet twists to create a sampler that, when viewed as a whole, creates a lovely snowflake design.

The sample is knit using about 850 yards of Knit Pick’s Wool of the Andes Tweed (a worsted-weight wool) in a lovely blue tone with Donegal Tweed loveliness adding to the overall look of home and hearth comfy-ness.

Colleen’s Cover is the big sister to the 60-inch Ciarnan’s Cover
