Color Harmony Shawl
Make your own beautiful hand knit shawl using my pattern which will give you easy to follow, step by step directions.
Color Harmony is an extra large, super soft and squishy shawl made with some of my favorite stitches and techniques. In this completely reversible pattern you will find 2 color brioche, as well as single and 2 color garter stitch rows. Complete directions are written out for these techniques, but I do recommend that you have at least some experience with brioche knitting before attempting this pattern.
Keep in mind that in order to achieve the beautiful brioche pattern, it helps to use two contrasting colors. If the colors are too similar, the brioche pattern does not stand out as nicely.
This pattern calls for 250 grams each of two colors DK weight yarn, and size 6 circular needles. For the shawl pictured I used Hedgehog Fibres Merino DK.
If you’d like to make a slightly smaller, lighter shawl, you could use fingering or sport weight yarn as well. I made one with 2 skeins Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles (one skein each color) and it came out beautifully. (Pictured in the last 2 photos, blue and turquoise). For that one, I used size 4 circular needles.
You can always message me if you have any questions, or just find simple youtube videos that show you how to do the technique.
Using this pattern and the materials required, you can make this exact shawl or many different varieties using other yarns or needles.
The pattern is written in standard American terms. It contains comprehensive instruction on supplies, abbreviations, and extra notes to help explain the process.
Of course, if you have any questions at all, feel free to email me.
