This pattern is specifically designed to pool the colors of this beautiful yarn. Any yarn that is skeined to a circumference of 72 inches can be used for this, regardless of the weight. It will make a stretchy adult hat sized to about 18 inches around. Of course you can use this pattern with any yarn to make any size hat, but the colors will not pool in those cases.
