Notice
The Colosseum Sock pattern has been redesigned under the name Filament Socks, which can be purchased from my Ravelry store. Thanks!

These socks are worked from the cuff down, starting with a picot edge and then a color-work leg, along with color-contrast heels and toes. This pattern is designed to have about 2” of negative ease.

A note about yarn needed:
MC: Any 400+yds/100g skein of sock/fingering weight yarn will be more than enough yarn for the main color for all sizes (unless you make the cuff/foot extremely long).

CC: A 81 yds/20g mini skein for the contrast color has enough yarn to make the 5th size with some yarn leftover. If you are making a size bigger than 5, you may want a little extra of your contrast color to avoid playing yarn-chicken ;)
