I love working with mini skein sets. That means I have a lot of teeny tiny leftovers. I really wanted to use those leftovers from my Colourful Geometry wrap, so I turned the whole pattern into socks!

The pattern uses only about 15 yards per mini skein colour. The colourful part is only on the leg, so you can use any mini skeins or favourite leftovers, even those without the nylon content that is generally recommended for socks. Just choose a suitable sock yarn as your main colour.

The knit/purl texture is easy to memorize, so it’s a great portable project. The pattern makes it a more enjoyable knit than just plain vanilla socks. It is also perfect for counting your rows, so you won’t have any trouble making your socks identical. :-)

Pattern is suitable for sock knitting beginners, it has been tested by a first time sock knitter.

Sizes: S (M, L) - 18 (20.5, 23) cm / 7 (8, 9)“ foot circumference, length of foot is adjustable

Choose a size about 2.5 cm / 1” smaller than actual foot
circumference.

Needle: 2.25mm / US 1 DPNs or long circular needle for magic loop method

or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 8 sts and 12 rnds per square inch/2.5 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking, using 2.25mm / US 1 needles

Save time by making a swatch!

Yardage:
MC: 200 (230, 260) m / 219 (252, 284) yards
CC: 12 (13, 14) m / 13 (14, 15) yards of each of the 5 colourways

Please note that yardage for MC is an estimate based on avarage shoe size. It may vary based on your shoe size, but generally 100 g of sock yarn should be more than sufficient for adult-sized socks.

Other Notions: Darning needle for weaving in loose ends, 2 stitch markers (optional if you are using magic loop).

Techniques: Knit & purl, working small circumference in the round, decreases, picking up stitches, turning heel, Kitchener stitch

Pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knitted.
