Combee (Pokemon)
Hello world! You may have noticed I am trying to share some summery vibes here, with my last 2 pokemon patterns being Sunkern and Sunflora! And now, after I already started this guy in… February, I think… I am bringing you Combee! No flowers without bees, right? Truly Combee just sat around here forever. I wasn’t entirely happy with the shape but couldn’t think of a better way, and so, in my dissatisfaction, I massively procrastinated on this guy. As I am typing this, it is the end of May (I am soooo ahead of my amigurumi schedule lol!), and I finally finished Combee a few days ago. It is far from perfect and definitely not one of my best patterns, but maybe somebody out there will try to tackle this guy anyways! And maybe one day I will try again and make an “improved” version, but for now, please enjoy this guy!
Materials
To make Combee you will need:
– A 2.5mm Crochet hook
– Yellow, orange, white and black yarn
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
– Wire for the wings and antennae
– Safety eyes
– Optional, but highly recommended: cardboard to support and stabilize the body
Please note that you can make Combee using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, Combee should be about 10cm tall.
Stitches & Abbreviations
The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:

– Chaning (Ch)
– Single crochet (sc)
– Half double crochet (hdc)
– Double crochet (dc)
– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method
– Increase (inc)
– Working in back loops only (BLO)
