This sweater lives up to its name! The Comfort Pullover is that sweater that you’ll reach for again and again on gloomy chilly days, and when you just want to lounge around the house. The extra length and curved hem are perfect for pairing with just about anything, and will keep your lower back toasty all winter long. The rolled edges are easy to execute, while adding a cozy touch.

It’s a very enjoyable knit, with a very similar knitting experience to a top down raglan. Rest assured, fit was not sacrificed. The contiguous construction adds plenty of shoulder shaping with strategic increases. The result is super comfortable, roomy, cozy, and provides excellent fit across the shoulders.

Construction:
Worked top down seamlessly. Start with the saddles, increasing to shape the shoulders and the back neckline. CO sts to join the two, and continue shaping the shoulders. Start shaping the body and sleeves (like a compound raglan), while shaping the front neckline. Join in the round, finish the yoke, and place the sleeve sts on hold while finishing the body. Work modified shadow wrap short rows to curve the front and back hems, finish with 2x2 ribbing and a rolled edge. Place the held sleeve sts back on the needles, pick up and knit a few sts from the underarms, and work the sleeve in the round, gently tapering it towards the wrist. Finish with a 2x2 ribbed cuff. Finally pick up sts around the neckline to work a rolled edge.

Sample is size 2, with 1.5” / 4 cm horizontal bust darts, 1” / 2.5 cm vertical bust darts, worn with ~7” / 17.5 cm of positive ease.

Please see the size chart and schematic in the photos for additional garment measurements, A-G are finished garment measurements. Pay special attention to B the cross shoulder measurement, it should only be slightly wider than your cross front measurement.

As with all my size inclusive garment patterns, you can use the code ANTIFATTAX to get 20% off the pattern, intended for sizes 6-10 to help combat the extra costs incurred by knitting larger sizes.
