Slip your feet into a pair of comfy socks to keep your tootsies warm. These shaped socks are made with a slight elastic stitch pattern, and linked stitches for the sole. They are worked from the toe-up, so you can tailor-make them to fit your feet as you work. Most of the sock is worked in one piece. The heel is worked into the heel opening and a short seam needs sewing closed.

A ball of 3-1/2 oz (100g) yarn is enough to make one pair of socks. However, if you are making a larger or longer version of the sock, you might need more yarn.

The pattern has two sizes:
Small – Shoe size US 6-7.5 (UK 4-5.5 / EU 36-38); Foot Length – About 9” – 9½“
Large – Shoe size US 8-9.5 (UK 6-7.5 / EU 38-40) Foot Length – About 9½” – 10”

There is one pattern, and the size is determined by the hook used.

Gauge for Small Size – using smaller hook:
11 sts = 2”;
6 rows sc = 1”
4½ shells = 2”
8 rows sc row, dc row = 2”

Gauge for Large Size – using larger hook:
10 sts = 2”;
6 rows sc= 1”
4 shells = 2”
7½ rows sc row, dc row = 2”
