A lady asked me to knit her a cowl that would be warm out on their boat and this is what I came up with!

The largest cowl was knit with Caron, a worsted weight yarn. This size will fit a large/x-large person.

The medium cowl was knit with Ice Cream Big Scoop, a (3) weight yarn. This size will fit a small/medium person.

The smallest size was knit with Herrschners 2-ply Afghan Yarn. This is a (2) weight yarn. And this one is a great size for children!

The collar is knit straight with slipped stitches on the side. Then placed in such a manner to pick up stitches around the edge to form the shoulder portion. It is finished off with a modified seed stitch pattern.

There is a schematic with measurements so you will be able to choose the perfect size for you to knit. And pictures to help with the place of the collar.

If a person desires to, they may easily make this longer. As long as they want, even up to a poncho size. Just do straight knitting after the increases and before the edging.

I want to send very warm “Thanks” to the wonderful test knitters! Check out their projects. Quite lovely to see.

Thank you for choosing my pattern.
