This shawl was inspired and made from the 2023 Q1 Knotty Habit Yarn Klub box in the colourway “Jacomina”. A shawl dedicated to my sister, Comien whose given name is Jacomina.

The shawl is worked in a boomerang shape, always increasing on the one side and decreasing on the other. There is no right or wrong side to the shawl, it can be worn with either side facing.

Skill level:
Adventurous Beginner

Sizes:
One-size-fits-all. The shawl measures 94cm at its widest end and 208cm along the curved outer edge.

Gauge:
19 dc and 11 rows to measure 10 x 10cm blocked with a 4mm hook.
Tension is however not critical for this project, but different measurements may result in different yarn amounts needed.

The pattern is written in US crochet terms, but uses metric measurements.

Materials:
Light fingering weight yarn (#1)
4mm (US G-6) crochet hook

The sample used Knotty Habit, Light Fingering 4ply,100% Merino SW (100g/400m).

Colour A – 50g/200m (Speckled White)
Colour B – 100g/400m (Dark green)
Colour C – 100g/400m (Light Green)
Colour D – 50g/200m (Sage Green)

Colours A & D can be the same colour, therefore use 3 different coloured skeins of 100g/400m each.
A minimum of 400m each for Colours B&C is required. If using yarn that has less meterage per 100g you may run out of yarn.
