“Conch shell socks” are short socks knitted from the toe up. The instructions are written for the magic loop method. The instep has a conch shell-like pattern and the heel is made with a heel flap. With the ribbing from the heel to the back of the leg, the socks will not slip off.

YARN
Fingering weight: 48g or more.
Please note that the required amount of yarn depends on the length of the foot, leg and cuff.

31 sts & 48 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette st after blocking

SIZES
Size 1 (2) / 58 (63) sts in the foot
Finished foot circumference: 17 (19) cm / 6.75 (7.5) “
Choose a size 3-4 cm / 1.25-1.5” smaller than the actual foot circumference.

conch shell socks はつま先から編むショートソックスです。
このパターンではマジックループで編むことを前提に編み方を説明しています。かかとはヒールフラップタイプで、巻き貝のように見える透かし模様が特徴です。かかとからレッグにかけてゴム編みにすることで、短い丈でも脱げにくくなるよう工夫しています。
