Knit bottom up, simple ridges frame a fancy little stitch and written instructions help you achieve a lovely, fairly quick one-skein cowl that’s perfect for yourself or a loved one!

This cowl is also perfectly designed for holding two strands of yarn together like in one of my previous patterns, the In The Darkness cowl. My current Coneflower cast-on is holding DK and suri lace together and it’s LUSCIOUS.

I have included notes for making two sizes and in the photos have provided a schematic for helping you decide! I also have a link in the pattern to a YouTube video to help with the coneflower stitch just in case you prefer to see it done over reading notes. As always, reach out if you have any questions!

You will need:
100g of worsted weight yarn OR
100g of DK held together with 100g of mohair or suri lace
8 Stitch markers
US 8 (5.0mm) knitting needles

You will cast on flat and join in the round later!

If you decide to cast on, tag me on Instagram @asterfiberco to show off your WIPs and FOs and look for a sister shawl this coming fall/winter.
Happy stitching!

ERRATA
Coneflower stitch written directions were missing a few things and have since been corrected in the PDF file download. The YouTube video is correct.

Row 26: it should say “sm” and not “m1” between the p1tbl stitches

Row 30: I removed the sm abbreviations for the center area as they are optional

Row 68: instead of k39, p1tbl it should say k3, p1tbl
