The beauty of this pattern, at least in my own use of it, is the potential for customization! Different cables or stitches could easily put an even more personal touch on your mittens, so feel free to play!

As a result of both laziness and artistic intent, the cable ended up being positioned over the pointer finger on both gloves - you may want to alter its placement and/or width in the pattern ever so slightly if symmetry is integral to your design :)

26-01-20 -- A small note for clarity: For the m1 stitches in the gusset, use the following R/L stitches for both the right and left hands: M1R, K#, M1L. In row 27, you may use either a R or L stitch to your preference :)
