Convertible Fingerless Mittens by Elizabeth Joy

Convertible Fingerless Mittens

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

These mittens use a form of tapestry crochet where you work into the ‘v’ of each stitch for the colourwork. If you work into the ‘top two loops’ as usual your pattern will slant to the side.

Since this is my first time writing up a pattern I will write up two forms of the pattern; 1 for the basic shape and form of the mittens which will be much easier and another with the colourwork. That way you can choose/invent your own colourwork (eg. something like stripes would be a lot easier and work up much faster). If you are not doing the colourwork there is no need to work into the ‘v’s but be aware that this might make your work less ‘squat’ so you may need fewer rows to reach the referenced anatomical landmarks.

This is my first written pattern and I am very grateful for any and all feedback so please feel free to message with any questions.
