As fall begins, I become excited at the prospect of pumpkins, leaves, and hiking. Getting in a last climb before winter really sets in is one of my favorite things to do in autumn. The Copper Mountain Trio is my tribute to those final days before the snow starts to fall. Small, portable, cozy, and quick, these patterns are my ideal projects for camping, hiking, and instant gratification.

The Copper Mountain Cowl is a versatile accessory well suited for fall.
Not quite a double-loop cowl, but longer than the average single-loop cowl, it’s a snap to shorten or lengthen for knitters who prefer theirs one way or the other. The color work keeps an otherwise boring stockinette cowl fun, and is perfect for using up scraps of yarn.
