The Copper Penny Cardigan is a standard fitting shawl collar cardigan with 3” of positive ease. It’s knit flat, top down, to the underarms, then divided for fronts, back, and sleeves. The body has a straight waist without shaping. Hem is then worked and ends just under hip level. Front is picked up and knit in one piece, then sleeves are worked. Sleeves are a closer fit than the sweater body. This cardigan was designed to be an accent piece that is worn open rather than closed with a shawl pin or buttons.
