This lightweight cardigan is perfect for cool evenings. It’s knit top-down using raglan shaping and stranded colorwork. Zigzag lines are one of the most common geometric shapes found in Native American artwork and the meaning of it differs among tribes. It is one of the earliest design elements found in Navajo weaving where it represents lightning, a powerful spiritual force, while to the Zuni Pueblo people of what is now western New Mexico, the same lines represent flowing water. Historians further state that some simple geometric shapes, including the zigzag, have little symbolic meaning to many other tribes, and were primarily used as an aesthetically pleasing decoration.
