Copper Wire Birdcage
This pattern uses copper wire instead of yarn. About half of the instructions are for the structural support and do not involve crocheting at all.
Not intended to house a live bird.
The pattern uses the Pineapple stitch but does not use Pineapple motifs.
You will need:
1 spool #28 copper wire (or any metal of similar gauge)
15” square of 1/4” thick Plexiglas
9 lengths of 1/4” plastic rod, 39” long
1 length of 1/4” plastic rod, 42” long
Duco cement (or other adhesive)
Electric drill with 1/4” and 1/16” bits
Electric jigsaw with fine-toothed blade
Rattail file
Tapestry needle
wire cutter
