Coquette Cardigan
About the pattern
This is a beginner friendly raglan cardigan knit in stockinette stitch. There is no seaming needed (yay!). The yoke is worked first, and then the arms are separated from the body. The body is worked back and forth, and the arms are worked in the round. Stitches are picked up around the collar and plackets. This pattern comes with different options for sleeves, collar and plackets, making your cardigan easily customisable.
This pattern includes 30 cm of positive ease in the circumference of the garment. For a less oversized fit, consider using finer yarn or sizing down.
For reference, my bust measures 82 cm, I am 5’5 and wearing a size S.

Gauge
19 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”) stockinette stitch, before blocking, on 4.5 mm needles.
Reaching gauge is very important to ensure the correct fit of the garment.
Yarn
Yarn used: Isager Boucle, 100% Alpaca, 50 g, 175 m (191 yds) or anything with similar yardage / DK weight.
Colour used: 56
Note: Boucle can be difficult to work with and may obscure stitches. On the plus side, it makes mistakes hard to see!
Good substitution: Hobbii Mohair Delight, Cewec Dolce, Drops Air.
This pattern is very easily customisable. To adjust the length of the body, simply knit for more or less rows, keeping in mind that the bottom ribbing measures 8 cm / 3.1 inches.
The sleeve length and width can also be easily altered by decreasing more frequently to make shorter and tighter fitting sleeves or decreasing less frequently to make longer and looser fitting sleeves.
This pattern includes different customisations for you to be able to make your cardigan exactly the way you want it to be. Options A tend to lean towards more beginner friendly and options B lean towards advanced beginner/ intermediate. These options can be mixed and matched to create your perfect cardigan.
The available options are: plackets option A (ribbing), plackets option B (double knit), collar & ties option A (ribbing & I-cord), collar & ties option B (double knit), sleeves option A (tapered sleeve), sleeves option B (balloon sleeve).
