Coracle Cowl
A stylish cowl with a beautiful crisp finish that adds the perfect finishing touch to any look. Repetitive, yet engaging, you’ll enjoy watching this project grow and grow!

The Coracle Cowl is an ideal gift for those hard to please recipients: all the effortless style of a casually draped triangular shawl, with a shape that’s actually fuss free. Simply throw it on over any outfit and walk out the door ready for anything! Coracle is all about cosy, classic texture and is as warm and practical for more rugged outings as it is stylish. The snuggly woven-look fabric is surprisingly easy and incredibly satisfying to work using only a few simple stitches.

You’ll work Coracle flat, beginning at one upper corner and working diagonally to the opposite edge of the bottom triangle. The edges are shaped with simple increases and decreases. Before binding off you’ll work a ribbed border, which grows beautifully from the eyelet basketweave pattern and gives the bottom point a stylish asymmetric finish. After blocking you’ll complete the cowl with a short mattress stitch seam at the centre back.
