The “Coral nº1” scrunchie pattern is a guide to an easy and fun crochet project. You will end up with an elegant and feminine scrunchie that will transform any outfit and fix any bad hair day. The design and shape are inspired by ocean corals - feel like a mermaid with this scrunchie in your hair!

There is a guide on how to make pattern variations if you are using different yarns and hooks. Use cotton yarn for natural look or go for something fluffy like velvet yarn. Feel free to use your yarn leftovers or scraps from your other projects!

Some basic crochet experience is required, but every important step in the pattern is followed by photos and charts. So this project can be your first ever crochet project for sure! If it is so, I am more than happy to be part of your learning process. If you are an advanced crocheter, this can be a great relaxed project to make. Half an hour are enough to make it, so it’s a perfect last minute gift.

It is important to read the instructions carefully before starting the project. As there is no exact gauge, just an approximate one, the size depends on the materials you choose and tension, so it is better to read the full PDF document first.

The main instructions are made for a crochet hook of 3.5mm., Drops “Safran” yarn. However, any yarn and hook might work. Can’t wait to see your scrunchies!
