This beginner-friendly bag features a gorgeous “beachy, sea-side” aesthetic. It is designed to work up incredibly quickly, making it a perfect weekend project. The unique texture is created using the “Drunken Granny” shell stitch, which creates a beautiful zigzag effect.

This pattern uses US terminology
Skill Level - Beginner
Square brackets indicate the pattern and the number of times it is repeated e.g. sc 1, inc x 6 means single crochet one stitch, increase in the next stitch. Repeat 6 times.
Round brackets ( ) indicate the number of stitches you should have after each round/row.
The stitches between two commas or within brackets are all supposed to be made into one stitch.
Note: This pattern uses two strands held together to achieve a custom marled color and a sturdier weight.
You may substitute with a single strand of sturdy Medium Weight yarn (Category 4)

Materials:
Yarn – Fine acrylic yarn in two colors blue and white (approx. 50gms each)
You can switch this with a medium weight yarn instead if you want to use only one strand of yarn
Hook – 5.5mm hook or the recommended one
Scissors

Ribbon (1 cm wide)
