Cormoran hat
This hat features a distinctive and intriguing ‘yarn over pass over’ motif and a deep, folded brim. This warm, elegant, and modern hat is worked at a tight gauge in a Aran (8 wpi) -weight merino.
Great for both outdoor activities and fine-wear, to fit both men and women.
It is a simple cap to suit everyone, knitted from the bottom up with a doubled brim to keep your ears warm.
Yarn:
-De Rerum natura Cyrano (100% Wool - Merino , 150m 164 yds per 100 gr skein) Sample uses colour cedre for size 2, and 3.
Yarn Requirements: 2 balls.
Notions: stitch markers, Stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Needles:
-Size US 5 3,75 mm Or size to obtain gauge
One 16’’40 cm circular needle (circ)
One 32” 80 cm circular needle (circ)
One set double-pointed needles (dpns)
-Size US 3 3,25 mm Or size to obtain gauge
One 16’’ 40 cm circular needle (circ)
Gauge : knitted flat after blocking
16 stitches and 23 rows = 4” 10 cm
in charted motif Stitch.

Construction:
This hat is worked seamlessly from the brim up. Starting with some ribbing 1x1, then working the charted motif, ending with the crown decrease.
