Worked with a fingering weight yarn combined with a mohairs yarn. Choose a sport weight yarn for a firmer, less flowy fabric.

Few stitch patterns provide as much satisfaction as simple knit-and-purl combinations, the contrast between purl bumps and flat Vs stands out nicely. If you love knit-and-purl patterns as much as I do, you will like this richly textured body, framed by soothing stockinette and a modern neckline.

Construction
This top-down sweater is knit seamless. First Upper back part is worked first from shoulders to the underarms, then the stitches of the fronts are picked up from the cast on edges of the back shoulders to work the right and left fronts, shaping the neckline with increases, after which they are joined with additional stitches picked up for the neckline then fronts are worked straight down to the underarms. Once all the pieces of the upper body are complete back and fronts are joined for knitting in the round to the hem. Next, stitches are picked up to work the neckline in a 2x2 rib, worked in the round, which is then folded and attached to the wrong side. Finally, The stitches of the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and they are worked in the round to the cuff.
An option for a zipper opening at front is given. The collar is worked in rib, then folded double and knitted together.
