This unisex hat, inspired by the landscape of the Scottish Highlands, is perfect for keeping out the chill on a long walk in the hills.

When choosing a yarn to substitute, select a sticky wool yarn. I would recommend a woolen spun yarn as this will allow show the Fair Isle pattern to the best advantage.

Stranded fair-isle, reading charts, knitting in the round.
