CHILDREN’S JACKET

A classic shawl-collared jacket for children’s smart casual wear in cool weather, lightweight and breathable with a soft drape. The front edges can be adjusted either to meet at the centre or to overlap for extra warmth. Tailored for comfort with a fitted collar, sloping shoulders, tapered raglan sleeves, adjustable hem length, and either a straight body profile or an optional method to shape the waist for both boys and girls. The jacket is worked seamlessly from the top downwards in a flexible honeycomb mesh. Construction is easy with minimal short-row shaping in the collar and simple working of further components onto each other. For more adventurous makers, there are optional lace motifs that can be placed as desired to meander across the garment in an organic design.
